As an ARTIST -- I CREATE artwork that centers joy and liberation and fosters transformative conversations.
As an EDUCATOR -- I FACILITATE learning communities where power is shared and collaboration drives how people listen and build with each other.
As a CONSULTANT-- I DESIGN solution-oriented experiences, projects, and interventions that use innovative collaboration, critical dialogue, and movement.
CREATE.
As a performing artist, I create and share stories that use dance and spoken word to spread joy and liberation. The creative processes and performances often invite participants into the journey. The mission to share and encourage dance and movement is part of what makes me The Dancing Diplomat.
FACILITATE.
As a professor, youth worker, and professional development consultant, I see myself as more of a DJ than a "teacher who stands in the front of the room." I get things started with a certain tune (topic) and stay responsive to the participants to keep the energy and conversation going so that more voices are heard and more knowledge is shared and built.
